The Secret Year was Veronica Mars meets The Notebook. The only thing this book was lacking was an actual mystery to solve; it was well-written and intriguing. It had enough sappy teen romance to keep you entertained without putting you into a sugar coma. I would definitely recommend this read, it was great! A wonderful way to start off the new set of Book Mafia books :D!
